Oh deer . . .

Deer 1

It's been years since I've cross-stitched. This weather makes me want to get out my stitching again and try my hand at it. Wish you could see the contraption I'm wearing . . . my bi-focals and on top of those are another pair of glasses that enlarge everything by 1.5 times and then another lighted magnifier around my neck. So it's taking an army of magnifiers to get me to see these stitches.

It ain't pretty folks.

But . . . I've decided to incorporate counted cross stitch of one kind or another in my mini-books. I can't possibly give up my paper so why not do both.

Stay tuned for a new project featuring a mini-book using Graphic 45 and the finished counted cross stitch above . . . November 16, 2017 . . . if my eyes hold out.

Looks great. Darker linen is always harder to see too. Can't wait for the reveal.

I haven't done counted cross stitch since I began my paper passion. I still have all my fabric and threads and may also pull it out one of these days. I also pin cute ideas I see on Pinterest. Looking forward to seeing how you incorporate it in one of your books.
