This week, the Frosted Designs DT Challenge was to use 3 colors in a project/layout:
Orange
Brown
Here's my contribution:
and here's what I did:
Took the original photo,
adjusted the size with Photoshop
and printed on Claudine Hellmuth's Sticky Back Canvas.
Toned down this bright gold sun
with Ranger's Alcohol Inks.
Added teal brads for more dimension on the rising sun.
Lots of pen work to highlight areas
including a bronze pen to go around the
teal die-cut paper and bring the teal onto the orange cardstock background.
Thickers letters,
inked with Ranger's Archival Rust Ink for the top of the letters
&
Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink for the edges of the letters
with
dark brown pen work first
and then bronze gel pen for added umph and highlights.
The stamp is an old Club Scrap stamp that I had in my stash.
Isn't it a wonderful Christopher Robin quote!
This is how my background paper started:
and after using a bronze gel pen to highlight the leaves:
By the way, that's my boy who got all the way to brown belt by the time he was 12.
