this idea that's been brewing in my head.
Wanted to work with the Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess papers
because we all want to be a Domestic Goddess
someone who is worshipped for the amazing gourmet meals served to their family each night
on fine china
with polished silverware
in a brand new dress that we purchased at Nordstrom's for pennies on a dollar
in 3" high heels
with pearls and earrings . . .
There I go again.
Anyway, I'm thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with my family.
We have some amazing cooks in our family
who bring their best dishes to the table during the holidays.
We all pitch in and bring special recipes to the hostess home, but rarely record those recipes or photos of our family really enjoying those meals. And as one who has Thanksgiving each year, my worry is getting everything on the table in a timely manner (before everyone starts picking on the turkey itself), while still hot, making sure wine glasses are filled and everyone gets their fare share of the pumpkin pie with steaming hot coffee.
I rarely take photos of these momentous meals. No time.
So this year, I have a plan:
Just started working on this mini-book (Meliss Frances Bingo Book)
for me
&
maybe for my sis-in-laws who will be hosting Christmas.
Put simple cameras on the table.
Let everyone take photos of the happenings
while you're slaving away over giblets
in your June Cleaver pearls.
The mini-album will be finished before the big day.
The photos will be taken by your guests.
And the only thing left to do is develop the photos and paste them in your book.
Not sure if this is going to be a class yet or not.
Still thinkin' and finishin'.
