Stamp & Show challenge this week is all about BUTTONS. Right now, my obsession is button cards. So I decided to make my own:
Some of my favorite buttons are from Jenni Bowlin. I began with a background from Tattered Angels Regal Embossed Chip Tiles. After adding Pumice Stone Distress Ink and Antique Linen Distress Ink to the edges, I grabbed a bottle of Bisque Liquid Pearls and added those around the center. Love those little bottles of Liquid Pearls! You can add so much dimension. Occassionally when adding them to a project, you may get a little peak that forms instead of a rounded top. You can settle that peak down by gently smacking (sounds like an oxymoron!) the card on your desktop.
Next, I added cording to the Jennie Bowlin buttons and attached them to a Melissa Frances die-cut.
After adding the button card to the Tattered Angels Chip Tile, I finished it off with a Prima flower and a Jennie Bowlin pin on top of the ribbon.
Planning on using this in an upcoming mini-book!
Now it's time to run over to the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge Blog and check out the fabulous designs my Team Mates have cooked up for you this week.
If you follow along with us, you know that each week our generous sponsor, Simon Says Stamp Superstore, gives away a $50 gift certificate to one lucky winner. All you have to do is enter something on the Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge blog and you are automatically eligible to win!
or you may be chosen as one of the top 3 designers for the week!
