Gotta have it . . .

This is the coolest tape ever! It's called X-Tape. This is the X-Tape Hinge:

If anyone knows where to purchase this short of flying to Korea or paying an arm and two legs for shipping, please comment below.

This is WAAAAYYYYYY too cool not to work into some kind of paper craft project!

UPDATE:  Just ordered mine from here:  http://vivalas.blogspot.com

It's going to be a great year for Graphic 45. I love each and every one of these designers and have, in the past, sent several notes of encouragement to some, hoping they would try out for the G45 DT.

I received the sweetest note last night from Diane, Charee and Aimee.  This is really one of the nicest, kindest companies I have ever had the privelege of working with.  I'm sad to leave the Team but still am pinching myself that I ever made it in the first place!  The work that my Team Mates have accomplished in the past is amazing.  I'm constantly in awe of their design work.

Last year, when I tried out for the Team, I felt that I had created some of my best work ever.  Lately, I've been bogged down with so many other commitments that I felt what I turned in was good - but not great.  Some of you have heard me express that.  I would have been extremely happy to have served another year, but not surprised to see my name didn't make the list.

Currently, I am teaching up to 12 classes a month at For Keeps Sake, serving on the Graphic 45 DT as well as Simon Says Stamp & Show DT and Oxford Impressions DT.  The design team work alone brings on another 8 projects a month.  I'm running out of ideas and time . . . and it's time to give up some of this work and enjoy others art.

So not making the Graphic 45 DT is bittersweet.  I'll miss the team that was but will still enjoy their designs as well as the *new blood* that has joined the team.  It will also give me a bit more time during the month for other things.

I am so appreciative to Graphic 45 for all they've given me including encouragement and the opportunity to work with an amazing group of people.

Thank you G45 and a sincere congratulations to the new Team!

Molldeli's . . .

If you're in the St. Louis South County area (or just passing through), there's a new kid on the block.  It's Molldeli's and it is DELICIOSO!

Being the foodie that I am, I feel it's my civic duty to try any new restaurants in my area.  After giving Molldeli's a couple months to *settle in*, we finally tried it today and OH MY GOSH it was SOOO GOOD!

Molldeli's is located on 21 (Tesson Ferry) less than 1 mile north (or would that be east) of I-270.  It's in the same strip mall as Hessler's and Pizza Hut (if you're a SoCo person).  The menu is exemplary!  The food is delicious and the place is super clean (and kid friendly).

Today we had their cod sandwich - !!!!! - and spinach salad - !!!!.  To our order we added homemade chips from BillyGoat (another St. Louis fave).  There's also a really well planned kids menu.

Oh and I forgot, they do serve beer and wine.

Although we came home stuffed and very happy, we had to bring home a homemade carrot cake cupcake (just in case we had the urge for something sweet later).  Haven't tried it yet but it smells wonderful.

Locally owned and operated, give them a try if you're in the area.

They deliver and cater!

A week of card making . . .

with Graphic 45 continues on their blog with some amazing creations and mind blowing techniques that my Team Mates have come up with. I'm always in awe of what they've created.

My card is very simple and celebrates shopping in Paris.  If a girl has to dream shop, it may as well be in the world's fashion capitol.

G45 Paris card 1

Using soft Copic Marker colors, I painted the girls and the Eiffel tower and placed them on a Spellbinders background.  You can see close-ups on the Graphic 45 blog.

Hop over (I'm saying hop a lot this week but it is almost Easter!) and see what my Team Mates have created. I'd like to peek inside their creative process every now and then just to see how they think. I'm always amazed that we can all look at exactly the same papers and they come up with such gorgeous art.

Don't miss out.  Go see!

Class tomorrow . . .

At 2 pm tomorrow we will be making some adorable cards designed by Inky Antics with some of their newest springtime stamps.  Please bring to class basic supplies plus:

This week's challenge . . .

Have you seen Prima's newest lines? They are beautiful! Having just purchased Prima's Almanac line, I decided to use it when creating my tag.
Prima's Almanac paper stack is what I used to cover the tag before adding a bird ATC image from the same papers.
A Prima wood ticket was added as well as a Prima clock face. Using a piece of Canvas Corp burlap, I gathered the burlap creating a border at the bottom of the tag.

I added a bird charm (similar to this one from Vintaj) on the burlap that hangs from a trinket pin.

Hop over to the Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge blog to see what my Team Mates have created.  Then enter your own tag for a chance to receive this:
