Christmas in July Tag Trades . . .

A small group of friends decided to do a Christmas in July tag trade.

It's happening this morning and I can't wait to see what everyone created.

Tag A

The idea was to create 3 tags per person.

I made 3 different designs for each person in the trade.

Tag b

The tag above uses a piece of wood from a friend's family farm.

This wood is part of the original homesteader house built in the late 1800 or early 1900's.

Tag c

Of course, we had this bright idea about 5 months ago.

I started my tags last week - ha!

Tag d

Angels are a must . . .

Tag e

You can always add your own flower bling with the help of

Art Glitter Glue. It dries perfectly clear and no sheen like some other adhesives.

Tag f

Every time a bell rings . . .

Tag g

I'll share what my trade buddies have created soon.

Obsessed with Scraplings . . .

Scraplings are cards or tags that measure 1.5" x 4.5" - perfect for scraps of paper. I first saw these on some Eastern European blogs I follow and thought they were so adorable and a perfect way to use up bits of scrap paper.

I paired leftover Prima Marketing papers and flowers with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. We all have scraps so why not give it a try.

The above Scrapling uses Feathery Flourishes

and Wrought Iron Miniatures.

You can visit Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog post today

for a step-by-step tutorial.

SC

I love these Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts bees and honeycomb sets.

They come in 3 sizes.  I used the smallest size.

And back to the Flourishes for the last of the three Scraplings:

Thanks for checking out these mini creations.

Try your own Scraplings and let me know how you like making them,

or

trading them

or

using them as embellishments on cards or scrapbook pages.
