Something old, something new, something blue . . .

Ken Oliver asked his Style Contributors

to alter something with blue.

Frame 1

I found this frame at Tuesday Morning in the clearance section.

I think it was about $6 (yippee).

The wood was chipped up but I was going to alter that part anyway.

After sanding the wood,

I mixed up a pale blue/green wash using

Color Burst

and made a wash using lots of water.

Then with a flat brush, *washed* the wood portion of the frame with it.

Next I used Heartfelt Creations flower die,

die cut a flower with some scrap paper

and gave the flower some shape with a Tonic Embossing Tool.

The edges were inked with Ken's Click It Ink Pad (Walnut)

Frame 2

Next, I needed something in the corner to create dimension.

This Crafty Secrets ephemera was on my desk and gave me

inspiration for the rest of the vignette.

Frame 7

I found a stick in the yard with some pretty blue moss,

an abandoned nest I had years ago,

a few *eggs* and some brown stems.

And now it's ready for the wall.

Hope you like the *blue* project.
