to all 23 of the gals who took my Christmas Album class yesterday. You were all very patient, diligent & creative! Hopefully, everyone finished the 20 page album in class - or just about finished - with the exception of a couple of Stickles here and there!

Thursday, February 12: 10:30 a.m.
Create a 2 page 12x12 inter-active layout that features a popular technique direct from Ranger University. Using a Dabber (color: Juniper) you will alter letters of any color to match your layout as well as alter grungeboard to look like weathered wood.

Lunch Bunch is a day-long class I've been teaching for several months. It's made up of a fun group of gals (anyone can jump in and join at any time) who get together once every couple of weeks to learn something new and create something wonderful.
Lunch, of course, is included.
The class begins at 10:30 a.m.
We usually break for lunch around 12:30 pm
when the group meets up at Quizno's for an included lunch.
Then return after lunch to finish up the project(s).
Thursday, Jan. 22 the class subject is Copic Markers.
If you're a stamper, this is THE marker to use when filling in your stamped image. These markers give you professional looking results without covering up your stamped lines.
In the morning, learn all about Copic Markers (an alcohol based marker) and how these little gems work. Of course, a practice session will ensue.
In the afternoon, create 4 beautifully colored cards with the techniques you learned in the a.m. including: shadows & highlights; blender pen (which is actually not a blender at all!), choosing colors and why choose Copics over regular markers.

PS: I'm a Copic Marker Certified Instructor. So sorry, but since this is a technique class, no kits available. BYO Copic Markers if you have them.
If you are interested in purchasing your own Copic Markers today during For Keeps Sake sale, try to choose 3 different shades of the same color. For example: 3 shades of red; 3 shades of blue etc. Make sure the colors are far enough away from each other to create a contrast: 3 - 5 color numbers difference between shades.

Teaching the
12 days of Christmas Tim Holtz tags
beginning Saturday, January 17
& continuing once each month (on a Saturday).
In the first session you will create a mini-book to hold all 24 of Tim's tags. Then learn techniques as you create the first 2 tags. Each month, join me in the classroom @ For Keeps Sake as you create 3 - 5 tags (depending on the complexity) until we complete all 24 tags (12 from 2007 + 12 from 2008).

Playing with my new Silhouette today and love it completely.
Just downloaded some awesome patterns from the Quickutz site. Was it ever easy! I thought I was going to have to go through a million steps to get the patterns from their site to my computer - but NO! I chose the patterns I wanted. Paid for them and VOILA - there they were inside my Silhouette library. Just like that. No downloads for me at all. They simply appeared.
Easy Peasy. I'm now cutting crowns & borders.
I needed German Scrap Paper. Making my samples for a Tim Holtz tag class I'm teaching @ For Keeps Sake. Unfortunately German Scrap Paper would be too expensive and trying to keep this class cost down.
