Some friends/students at For Keeps Sake decided they wanted to get involved in another puzzle trade. Sherry found these puzzles while vacationing in Michigan and brought them back for the trade. Large pieces with "flaps":
I've been procrastinating until yesterday when I realized that
CYI (Create Your Imagination) is in two short weeks.
CYI is a free meet-up the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
It's FREE.
We trade, share ideas and techniques and have fun!
(Join us anytime @ 6:30 pm)
Each person in the trade was able to name the theme of their puzzle pieces.
And I think that's why I was procrastinating.
There are 10 people involved in the trade. Which meant 10 different themes!
But the other day I saw Sherry at For Keeps Sake
who said she was finished with hers
and that once you jump in it was easy to work each theme.
So I started them yesterday afternoon
before joining friends at SAGE for dinner (YUM!)
You MUST try this restaurant if you haven't already.
We ate on the rooftop dining room (outdoors) - a perfect night for it.
I digress. (see what I mean about procrastinating!)
Here are 3 pieces I finished yesterday:
So while we're at dinner, Timi calls and is wild-crazy, head-over-heels, can't-wait-until-you-see all the stamps Ted & Michele (Mr. & Mrs. Stampers Anonymous) brought with them. Loads and loads in a large white semi-truck!
The Chipmunk song is playing in my hear "Please Christmas don't be late". It's the DisneyWorld of stamps! All Timi could say was "wait until you see this" and "I can't wait until you can see these stamps!" and "You've got to get here early to see this!" and "the samples they brought are gorgeous".
The classroom has been divided in half. Half of it is filled with displays of stamps (hundreds - maybe thousands) and the other half is classroom for my Tim Holtz a.m. tag class and Wendy Vecchi's afternoon class.
All I'm sayin' is - if you see a whirlwind that resembles a tornado in the Stampers' Anonymous area, it's just me, picking up all the stamps I "need"!
Are you in or around the St. Louis MO area?
Then get in and get your stamps

This is a special event that's rarely repeated

Take advantage of what may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
PS: Don'f forget your camera!
Once again, I sure wish that I was closer. Hard to work on the computer since I have a compound fracture of my left hand and in a cast.
