if that's what you want to call what I do.
Decided to go back and work on my Thanksgiving mini-album. Already had a 2 page layout done of a few of my nieces, yet many more photos to add.
So yesterday, when Sonja & Stacey came over, started on the cover. This is what I ended up with:
Papered the background with ???
(if you recognize this paper, please raise your hand.)
Next step:
Get out the wine napkins Missy gave me a couple of years ago.
Tear appropriately and wallpaper those over the background
using
Claudine Hellmuth's Matte Medium.
After sanding the back of the wooden acorn ornament
attach to the front of the book with
Claudine Hellmuth's Matte Medium
(this stuff is fabulous!)
If you take all the extra layers off the back of the napkin
and then adhere the top layer only
you can see through the napkin to the paper underneath.
The napkin acts as a sort of transparency.
Add a
Jenni Bowlin November 2009 calendar,
sticky back paper ribbon from K&Co,
ornamental chipboard tree from Pink Paislee,
sticker from 7 Gypsies,
ephemera from Crafty Secrets
and
one tiny little fragment from Idea-ology to signify Thanksgiving day.
Ink all with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
Ya know what I was thinkin'?
Maybe in 2010 it would be good to do a mini-album a month
sort of like an anthology
of family & friends photos.
