Did you ever notice how people that are REALLY-OVER-THE-TOP talented are very humble about their art. I'm not talking about those names we all know and love but rather thinking about those who (IMHO) don't get the recognition they deserve.
There's one gal I'm thinking about today. Her name is Candy Colwell and she is uber-talented. She's with Tim this week taking classes. It's a case of 6 degrees of separation (again).
Renea C (1) has taken some of my classes. Renea and I (2) knew each other but couldn't figure out from where, until Renea remembered waaaayyyyy back when (I was in my 20's) we had taken tole painting classes together from another customer (3) of For Keeps Sake.
Renea also has taken classes from Candy (4) and brought her work to For Keeps Sake to show us how fabulous Candy's creations ara.
I e-mailed Tim (5) as Candy was taking his classes this week at Kate's (6) store (Absolutely Everything) and wanted to make sure he saw her work.
Visit Candy's blog and you'll see what I mean!
Oh my giddy aunt, Nancy, Candy is unbelievably talented! Thank you for that link. I have added her to my favorites, but I think I will have to read her blog in short sprints. I read a couple of posts and I feel like I am now on creative overload. Amazing - how can one person be SOOOO creative???

Candy is so sweet. She is friends with my mom. She made Tim a super cool t-shirt that we had the pleasure of delivering at CHA. She always took my classes the last time I taught down there and I thought, "Really? I should be taking classes from you!"

Me too. I'm following now too! I'm hoping some day something will rub off looking at a creative blog or sitting next to someone in one of your classes....or from you.

Nancy....I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the kind words! Coming from YOU, I consider your words a highest compliment! As you said, I was taking classes from the Guru of Grunge aka Tim Holtz, this past weekend at Absolutely Everything. They really should not be called classes...they are EVENTS! Oh my gosh...creativity just oozes out of him! He inspired me to keep being curioius, experiment and most importantly, just "let it go" and PLAY!
