Well, that's easy enough.
Since I was going to attend a baby shower for one of my niece's and since this was #5 grandchild for my sis-in-law, I decided to make a Grandmother's Book.
After 5 grandbabies, don't you think this woman deserved a Grandmother's Book?
Beginning with a Maya Road Lunch Tin Album (it measures just 5" x 4.25") and some of my favorite colors, I covered the chipboard pages with various papers from Crate Paper, Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon.
The decorating was finished using Maya Road Bingo Chips, a Tim Holtz Hitch Fastener, a Swivel Clasp, Pink Paislee Daily Junque stamps and miscellaneous baby charms.
Luckily, she loved it!

Gotta love this guy! He is a great source of inspiration for art work and is currently on the lookout for those of you who do art journaling.
This is something I would love to start but haven't quite made the leap (yet). It's all those delicious drawings/sketches. I love to look at what other people have done but just can't seem to get the perspective of it all. My peeps end up taller than the buildings. Very distorted.
Bill, on the other hand, is fabulous at drawing. So maybe we should collaborate and he can draw and I'll paint in the images.
Sounds like a plan!

is this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show.
Couldn't decide what type of embossing to use - heat or dry - so opted for both.
First, using a Big Shot I dry embossed a Tim Holtz Glassine Pocket Envelope with a Texture Fades Embossing Folder. I cut off the top of the envelope to create a vertical pocket.
A tag was stamped and heat embossed (Distress Embossing Ink + embossing powder) using Tim Holtz Papillon stamps.
Ribbon and more ink finished off the tag.

One of my CHA-S projects is up today on the Graphic 45 blog. It was a pleasure to work with two of Graphic 45's brand new products: An ABC Primer paper collection coupled with one of the altered art boxes. By the way, each altered art box contains an accordion album!
It is so much fun and easy to work with these altered art boxes. The window is open so that all you have to do is

(oh and by the way, this box has a very strong magnet so it closes itself ; )
Here's the box totally open. I put some G45 images at the bottom of the box
but when you open the box, you see this mini-accordion book nestled in the box.
The die-cuts (the sitting boy on the front, the children's silhouettes and the numbers)
are all from Imaginarium designs . . . a perfect addition to this line of papers.
Actually, the sitting boy was a sitting girl until I cut off her pony tail ; )
The mini-book has 8 panels
so I designed this for 1 photo per grade school years
1 thru 8.
