• adhesive
• decorative paper to cover rolls
• ink to edge paper and rolls
• chipboard for the covers
• basic supplies

Vicki also used Basic Gray magnets to close the book.

After seeing these beauties, I've decided to add a card class to my October schedule:

 

Super detailed and loads of layers, these cards are all winter/Christmas based. We'll add a bit of ink and sparkle to each of the 4 different designs.

Frightfest 2012 . . .

Create Your Imagination . . .

Tuesday @ 6 pm is a free meet-up I monitor at For Keeps Sake. This week we're trading altered tea cups. You can read more about it here: http://art-from-the-heart.typepad.com/art_from_the_heart_class_/

Sign ups are not required. Just show up and see what CYI is all about.

If you want to participate in the trade, it's a one-on-one trade. You only need to alter one tea cup for the trade, bring it in and we'll count you in! Again, sign ups not required.

After the trade, Vicki M will show us how she put together her adorable mini book using toilet paper rolls. If you'd like to participate, BYO basic supplies + 6 toilet paper rolls (flattened).

Last night @ For Keeps Sake, Missy taught a beginners' Copic Marker class. Great group of gals who stuck around just a bit after class and started playing with their new markers.

I have been following Debbie's blog for quite some time. Stop by and see how she sketches with a Multiliner and fills in her drawings with Copic Markers. She is amazing!

Makes me want to start a sketch book. Except I can't draw....well, I can, but you wouldn't recognize anything. Better stick to stamping.

WOYWW . . .

Playing along this week with Stamping Ground's WOYWW. Nancyland is almost all cleaned out with just a wee bit more to go. So yesterday, I started a new mini album for a class I'll teach in October.

Here's what I've got so far.

As you can see, I'll be using Laura Denison's Stack The Deck binding. It's so easy to do!

There will be lots of pockets and flips and ephemera added to each of the pages. This may have to be a two-part class - not sure yet until everything is complete.

Running over to Stamping Ground to see what every one else has been up to this week.

No, this isn't a scene from *Hoarders* . . .

I've been busy. Can you tell? I've gone through almost every bookshelf, drawer, slat wall, cabinet that I have in Nancyland and cleaned out. I found stuff I had from before For Keeps Sake opened 10+ years ago! 

Things I purchased in multiples with the intent of using them for classes, now thinking *really, I was going to use that in a class?*

Having been raised by 2 extremely neat people, I can't stand to work in a mess. And now these boxes sitting here are really bugging me. Bill asked what we were going to do with these all winter as I'm waiting for the next garage sale at For Keeps Sake. Good thing Beau's room is empty! 

A few more drawers to go through and I'm finished.  In the meantime, I'm working on my next bookbinding class October 20. No sign-ups yet as it's still in the works - but soon!

In the meantime, Savvy Stamping meets this Wednesday, September 5 at 6 pm.

I noticed on the For Keeps Sake calendar that Missy has a beginners Copic Marker class this coming Friday, September 7 @ 6 pm. This is one I highly recommend if you want to get into Copic Markers. These markers are phenomenal. Missy will teach you all you need to know to begin this unique coloring experience:

• what Copic Markers can do
• how to use them
• how to purchase them - this is a really important key item!
• how to refill
