Playing with Stencil Girl stencils & Wood Icing . . .
February 13, 2013
last night at CYI. It was fun to experiment with Wood Icing, checking out the difference between Gesso and Wood Icing and seeing how you can build up images with Wood Icing.
We colored, stenciled and generally played . . .
and planned for next month's CYI.
For those of you who asked last night, we did receive one shipment (our original order) from Creative Imaginations which included a few of the products Cheryl Mezzetti will be using in her classes on March 6 & 7.
We are expecting a HUGE second order before Cheryl's class. These workshops are going to be amazing!
Did you also see that Ken Oliver is coming to For Keeps Sake and hosting an EXCLUSIVE event?
So much going on! To make reservations for Cheryl's or Ken's classes contact

Onto more news about next month's CYI: We'll be working with twinchies and creating something wonderful! Stay tuned for more details and in the meantime, think about what color scheme you'd like to work with and start collecting papers, stamps, inks etc in your chosen color group.
What are twinchies? A tiny square that's 1.5" x 1.5". And we'll be creating lots of them to incorporate onto a canvas (or whatever you choose to showcase yours). Maybe a book cover instead of a canvas?
Here's a sample created by Dena Redfern:
Hope to see you soon

I love the texture .. I'm going to have to try that with my art journals .. a cool way to add levels to my pages. Have a great day Nancy !

I wish I wouldn't have missed CYI. Stuff Happens sometimes, I guess. What fun. I'll have to check it out. I love that. Sounds perfect in journals and altered books.
