Here's a list of supplies to bring:

• Cutter
• Scissors (precision scissors like Cutterbees) as well as Tim Holtz Scissors
• Adhesive: both wet and dry such as Beacon 3-in-1 (wet) and double sided tape (dry)
• Ink to match the project you're working on + ink applicator
• Baby wipes
• Craft knife
• Pencil & ruler
• Sanding block or sandpaper

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .

I do realize how early it is (not even Halloween yet), however, if you're a crafter then you'll understand. We crafters like to get a jump on the gift giving season. Here's an upcoming class that could be a gift that lasts all year long and then some!

Saturday, October 26: 10:30 am - 3:30 pm: Cardmakers Box: $30

Cardmakers Cabinet (also designed by Gina's Designs and me). All you need to do is pop-in some handmade cards and it's ready for the gift giving season for that someone special.

Dontcha just love this Prima paper!

The dividers (6 total) are included so you can categorize your cards for

birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Room for just 12 peeps.

You will need: Basics +

Beacon 3-in-1-in; baby wipes; craft knife; pencil; ruler; sanding block or sandpaper.

A huge voting favor please . . .

This is so off topic but here goes anyway. My husband (Bill) is a huge fan of fishing. He recently caught this muskie in Minnesota. It was 49 inches long and weighed about 36 pounds. It's not a fish story! Here's the photo to prove it:

Christmas Wishes . . .

As soon as I saw this I knew I had to create a mini book. It's a Tim Holtz designed Christmas Wishes 5x7 hardbound cover. We'll add interactive pages from Tim's Merriment collection and get it all ready for the upcoming holidays.

Workshops in progress . . .

Nancyland has been a happy mess lately with paper and glue flyin'! I am very excited about a few of my upcoming workshops. Here's a sneak of one of them:

Gina Designs and I designed a unique piece that fits this paper perfectly.

Think travel trunk and mini-book.

It's a very special Stencil Girl blog hop . . .

It's an honor to be included in this Stencil Girl blog hop featuring Stencil Girl's map stencils:

Even though Mary Beth Shaw (the Stencil Girl herself) asked us to create one project . . . well I couldn't just stop at one. The first one I started with was an altered book. We recently returned from California and I had a book called *Crossing California*. After adding my own pages to the book, I went to work on the cover.

I built up some layers on the cover using various scrapbook travel papers then colored Wood Icing with a dab of acrylic paint. Using the Latitude and Longitude stencil, I applied Wood Icing to the stencil.

Using the same stencil, I made a simple tag to add to the book pages. For this tag I first secured the stencil to the tag using temporary tape (painters tape works just as well). I then applied VersaMark ink to the tag through the stencil. After picking up the stencil, I sprinkled the tag with clear embossing powder and heated to create the image. Distress Inks and water were used for the background. The VersaMark image creates a watermark effect:

I just couldn't stop working with these fabulous stencils so I turned to one of Stencil Girls pretty Peacock Feather stencils

and created this canvas:

After securing the stencil to the paper using temporary tape, I painted through the stencil using Copic Markers. Then I applied VersaMark ink randomly over the stencil, removed the stencil and sprinkled with glittering embossing powders from Ranger Ink.

I hope you enjoyed this little venture into my Stencil Girl projects.
