Ken Oliver at home in Newburgh . . .

But first . . . 

Judy, Nancy, Timi and I had a great day visiting with the talented Ken Oliver in his new hometown of Newburgh Indiana. That adorable town is the cutest Norman Rockwell-esque town I've been to in a long time. Friendly and inviting with amazing architecture, we wanted to walk around and take in the history of this river city.

But first . . . a visit to Ken's way-cool apartment. To say his new residence is charming is an understatement. Think early 1900's, 2 floors including his attic artist loft, filled with beautiful collections and antiques. And he's not finished decorating as he just moved there a few weeks ago. I'm a little green.

There is a staircase behind them that will

take one from the street level to Ken's.

Love that original brick wall.

This gorgeous (working) wood fireplace is on the opposite wall.

I think the star in the brick means

a crafting genius lives there.

 Be still my heart . . . the pieces Ken has are so perfect for this space.

  

 

 

From the living room you walk through a short hallway

that displays these beauties.

See that slat board on the right wall? It's authentic worm wood!

The staircase behind the wall clock leads to his studio.

From the bedroom, you walk through a doorway

that leads to a wooden deck

complete with reading chairs, a birdhouse, herbs, tomato plants and more.

 

Then, the pièce de résistanc

There's a beautiful view of the Ohio River from those windows.

 

After a tour of Ken's we enjoyed lunch at 

Edgewater Grille

along with their delicious homemade bread.

What a wonderful weekend with friends.
