We're going places . . .

As you may have read, Timi and I are in business together with For Keeps Sake Events. We have a blast making trips together to various scrapbook stores in the Midwest, taking classes, shopping, sightseeing and scrapping and we want to take you along with us.

You can find our most current list of events here:

Our first event begins at For Keeps Sake with our semi-annual garage sale. Shop the best scrapbook/altered arts/stamping garage sale around. As of this minute, there are 2 or 3 spots left for vendors. If interested, pick-up a registration form at For Keeps Sake.

When: Saturday, October 11

Where: For Keeps Sake - 4530 Lemay Ferry Rd - St. Louis 63129

Shopping Time: 10 am - 4 pm

Who: Well over 20 vendors!

It's the best place to pick up some amazing bargains!

Shoppers Note: This is a cash and carry sale. The vendors will probably not be able to run anything on a credit card.

Vendors Note: Set-up time is 8 am on October 11. All leftover items must be removed by 5 pm.

Now for another announcement!

Beginning November 2014, you can find me teaching classes at Checkered Cottage in Kirkwood MO. I will be hosting two workshops each month:

  • mini-book workshops
  • Graphic 45 tags

I've been collecting, planning and designing just for this new opportunity and can't wait to share these workshops with you.  The classes are not ready to go *live* yet but please watch Checkered Cottage's calendar for dates and times.

It's very exciting to start two new ventures.

Hope you can come along!

Good memories . . .

Nancy Norberg & Timi Taylor

definitely created the premier scrapbook store in St. Louis

For Keeps Sake.

Today (Sunday, September 28) take 45% off your purchase.

Some items at 75% off.

Red Tags at 50% off the sticker price.

Samples at 50% off the sticker price.

Open Sunday, September 28

12 Noon to 4 pm.

Frightened and Out of control . . .

That's how I would describe my attitude and the current sales at For Keeps Sake (St. Louis MO). With only days left until the store is officially closed, the discounts are now down to 40% off with some prices slashed even lower on select paper, etc.

I am now officially in hoarding mode. Scared that I won't find all the beautiful papers like the ones carried at For Keeps Sake. Worried that the *perfect* embellishments won't be there for my pages and mini-books. Sorry Michaels and Hobby Lobby but the quality of your papers just aren't the same as what I find at For Keeps Sake.

So the hoarding has begun. Look at my great finds:

I had my Copics in what looked like a shoebox.

Found this acrylic holder at For Keeps Sake.

and this double-wide for some of my papers & kits:

NOTE: If you're into pretty for your scrap room,

there are some beautiful wood 12x12 paper towers!

Beautiful papers I won't find elsewhere

unless I spend an arm and two legs on shipping cost.

(paper shipping is expensive!)

There's still plenty left.

Come in and get yours today @ a great discount

A Book of Memories - Revised Edition . . .

I cannot say enough good things about Laura Denison's A Book of Memories. This one I revised a bit:

  • It is 8.5" tall x 6.25" wide. (The original pattern was 10" tall x 8" wide.)
  • The binding on this one is 2.75" compared to the original 4.5".
  • I used a Laura Denison's perfect hinge binding for the inside pages.
  • Broke up (?) the outside/inside bindings and used bookbinding tape to secure the hinges.

Here's what I ended up with:

Book 1

Most of the papers and embellishments were from

Prima's Time Traveler.

Book 2

You can see in the photo above that I used 3 separate pieces

for the inside hinges.  In Laura's instructions, she had these

3 pieces all joined together. I left mine separate.
