What a way to start the new year! The very talented Ken Oliver is launching his very own products at the January Craft & Hobby Association Show (CHA) in Anaheim.
This is the largest craft show of the year where all (or most) of the world's craft manufacturers gather to show their newest product launches. Wholesale buyers from all over the world shop the amazing booths and purchase product for their stores for at least the next six months.
As one of Ken Oliver Crafts Style Contributors, I've had the pleasure of working with these products, getting samples ready for Ken's booth at CHA.
Here's some peeks of what's to come:
Stick-It is one of the best products to hit the market in years.
In fact, it's been chosen by CHA as one of the HOT PRODUCTS of 2015!
It's an absolutely genius way to combine paper, die cuts and adhesive
all at one time - with no mess or glue leaking out from tiny parts!
As you can see from the photo above, it's a very thin piece of *paper*.
When the first layer is peeled back, a sticky adhesive layer is revealed.
Apply that sticky layer to the underside of your paper.
NOTE: Did you notice that paper? It's the *A* side of
Ken Oliver Crafts Watercolor Memories paper.
I'm going to use the *B* side for this project.
Next, line up your die and run the die through your die-cut machine.
The dies I'm using are part of a line from Tonic Studios soon to launch in the U.S.
The paper pops right out of these dies!
No poking or prodding or wax paper needed.
Peel back the thin paper and reveal the sticky side of
Stick It!
I took the sticky side of Stick It
and dipped it into glitter.
How easy is that!
Getting ready for Valentine's Day so for this 6x6 card I used:
Ken Oliver Crafts Stick It
Ken Oliver Crafts Watercolor Memories - Parrot Tulip paper
6x6 for the background (isn't it beautiful!)
12x12 Parrot Tulip *B* side (it's the same design in muted colors)
Tonic Studios Dies: Intrica Regal Circle & Delicate Heart
Miscellaneous embossing powders & glitter
I used bright
yellow glitter on top of Stick It for the Regal Circle
&
red glitter embossing powder on top of Stick It for the Delicate Heart.
Here's another card using
Ken Oliver Crafts Watercolor Memories
and
Tonic Studios butterfly die
