And I'm using that term loosely.
I understand color, highlighting, shading, combining colors, color wheel
but
I can't draw worth a darn.
My perspective is all off - always.
That's why I stamp.
If you want your stamping to look like you drew them
stamp with a light colored ink
and watercolor on top of the ink
like I did here:
I used a flower stamp from
RubberNecker and stamped with Staz-On Ink.
Using Ken Oliver Crafts ColorBurst
and
I painted over the light colored ink.
So fun and quick!
I wanted to paint another one that was a bit more ethereal.
(1) Stamped another image with very light ink
(2) Watered down the Color Burst colors a bit more
and began blocking in colors.
(3) Finished in 10" and ready for a card front.
Back to the original for a minute.
I thought the coloring I did was a little too heavy
so I ran it under the water faucet (literally)
'til the Color Burst was a bit thinner:
I like it better. Do you?
