Hope you can join me!

Working on . . .

Oct 1

I had a bit of a break prepping for October workshops and dug out my stash of Halloween supplies. Talk about some vintage supplies! Do you remember Rusty Pickle's Halloween or Design Originals Halloween? Yep, still kept them and used them this past week. They're still wonderful!

Oct 2

The base pages are from Rusty Pickle

(yes, I keep all the stuff I really like regardless of how old)

all caught up in a 7 Gypsies Bind-It-All

Since it's Halloween, I felt the need to make this eye look bloodshot.

Oct 3

Every page of this book is interactive

with pull-outs, tags, mini-booklets, belly bands, pockets and magnets.

Oct 4

Oct 5

You can see more of the pages here:

For Keeps Sake Events

Memphis G45 Book

traveled to Memphis TN this past weekend

for a weekend filled with Graphic 45's A Christmas Carol.

I taught Graphic's Mixed Media Album with many inter-active pages

while Timi played Vanna and helped me immensely

giving out papers and helping students find kit ingredients.

We had a great time with our 30+ newest friends!

The pot luck lunch - OH MY GOSH - it was beyond delicious.

I need recipes please.

Then on the way home we stopped at

Baby Jack's BBQ.

It was fast food but my oh my was it delicious!

I had the ribs and they were fall-off-the-bone

with a smoky flavor that was just right and a sauce that was finger-lickin' good.

We came home with gifts from the Memphis gals

one of which was a package of Memphis BBQ sauces.

One more weekend of Graphic 45 workshops at Checkered Cottage!

In the meantime, I've been working on a Halloween book

I bought very little and decided to use my stash

made up of various lines and of course, a bit of Graphic 45 embellishments.

Now for the back of each page and the binding.

Stay tuned!

What a whirlwind month . . .

For Keeps Sake Events

has been very busy, measuring, cutting, sorting and kitting

for our Graphic 45 workshop in Memphis.

I ran out of boxes so had to use one from some shoes I had ordered.

The outside of the box read

*something addictive is inside*.

It's now packed with Graphic 45 supplies

so, yes, it is very addictive!

We are very excited about meeting 30 new students!

On another note,

Timi showed me how to complete this mini using

Graphic 45's Mixed Media Box.

I think she saw it on their site (but not sure).

It has a very clever binding inside!

The binding is attached to the side of the box

so that when you open the box, the book opens as well.

What is it about tiny books that make them so fun to decorate?

See you at Checkered Cottage this week for

Wednesday's Heritage Layout

Friday's Graphic 45 tags.

After that, we're off to Memphis, TN!

We had so much fun . . .

at our Graphic 45 Christmas Carol weekend at Scrapbook Generation, Springfield MO

Scrapbook Generation is a wonderland of paper arts supplies.

What a treasure!

For Keeps Sake Events

taught three workshops:

an interactive card class;

a Kaisercraft Beyond the Page home decor item;

a Maya Road mini-book.

All projects were decorated with

Graphic 45's A Christmas Carol.

A few of our gals traveled from out-of-state to take the workshops.

Thank you so much.

Here's Timi with a few of our favorite attendees.

And me: Well, I forgot to take a group photo - again!

Next stop: Memphis

where we'll be teaching a

Graphic 45 Christmas Carol Mixed Media Album

to 30 people.

Can't wait!
