Conservatory, Greenhouse, Hothouse . . .

Whatever we want to call it, I'll be teaching this

Gypsy Soul Laser Cut design

along with lots of

Prima Marketing mediums

Checkered Cottage, Kirkwood MO

Saturday, April 22

I'm waiting for a few more things to come in from Prima,

plus some miniature trees that will be added

but it's almost ready for display at Checkered Cottage.

Gina from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts

will be joining me with some remarkable

miniature furniture pieces

you may want to add to your greenhouse.

Hope you can join me!

Wednesday's challenge on Monday . . .

Years and years ago I was a member of the Simon Says Design Team. Between then and now, I have been a member of the Graphic 45 Design Team, 7 Gypsies Design Team and am currently on the Prima Marketing Educator Team and Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Education Team.

Being a member of design teams means you have projects with due dates each month. Usually with a theme. Sometimes maker's choice.

Working with all those goodies leaves lots of scraps and nowhere to go with them. Enter challenges. Challenges inspire me to use various products and incorporate scraps into my crafts.

This week I'm entering a card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge. The theme is Fantastic Florals.

This card combines Prima Marketing flowers and lace with a Penny Black floral sticker. I altered the sticker a bit by adding white gesso to the flower petals and Prima micro beads to the centers. I also added white gesso to the Prima flower petals.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I appreciate each of your visits!

A couple of weeks ago, I showed this project on the GSLCuts blog:

Today, you can find more of the tags I decorated to use with this project. I used all Prima Marketing papers and combined with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts chipboard. Take a look here please:

February 11 - Graphic 45 Mini-Book Class . . .

This Saturday is the Graphic 45 mini-book workshop at Checkered Cottage in Kirkwood MO. We'll have fun creating a unique cover for the mini-book then filling the pages with the beautiful Nature's Sketchbook from Graphic 45. Adding delicate flowers from Prima Marketing will round out the project.

You can find the list of what to bring to class here:

Looking forward to a fun Saturday with the gals!

Good news and sad news . . .

Robert Frost

The sad news: Unfortunately, Timi and I are disbanding For Keeps Sake Events. We will no longer hold events or crops under that name.

The good news: I will continue to do some crops and events as well as my workshops under my own name.

Stay tuned for more news and events!
