Combining Graphic 45 and Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts . . .

There's a new project up on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog today. It's a tag mini album that I decorated with Graphic 45's Come Away With Me. 

You can see how easy this is to put together when you visit the

With all the base pages pre-cut & scored as well as the chipboard covers,

the belly bands, inserts and extra tags, it's a Cinch (get it?) to put together.

(sorry, couldn't resist)

Here are some of the inside pages:

 The front cover (inside), holds a fold-out:

I like to make the first page a title page,

which is easy with Graphic 45 papers.

The circle was cut in two places to make pockets

that hold 3 Graphic 45 tags.

Two pockets on this page:

one side pocket and one pocket made by fussy cutting an image.

The next page has a fold-out booklet held down with a magnetic strip.

and inside:

Pocket on the left and a belly band on the right:

The tickets at the top and image at the bottom hold the tag in place:

And the last two pages of the booklet:

and more fussy-cutting for two more tags:

Next page, a tag acting as a pocket for 2 more tags:

Flips are all about the right side page.

The front has an envelope with a tiny insert for journaling.

Flip that to the right and reveal a pocket on the back

with inserts on the main page:

The right pocket holds a mini tri-fold:

and on the main body of that page = 

a small fold-out held together with a belly band.

The belly band has a magnet in it

as does the photo mat on the main page.

So, it all stays together  like magic!

The last page houses another flip with a pocket and a tiny 

Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts booklet.

The back of the postcard flip has a pocket and a

Gypsy Soul Laser Cut insert

pre-cut to look like a strip of stamps.

and underneath is a belly band and two inserts for photos or journaling.

Mini Album Makers Challenge Blog . . .

Today is the day the Designers show you more ideas on the Mini Album Makers Challenge Blog. This month I decided to do a very simple binding using a Zutter Bind-It-All.

In the meantime, here's how I decorated my mini:

I've used a Zutter chipboard book. I love these books! They have a rounded spine that looks like an old binding. I've darkened the book cover (it's a kraft color to begin with) using three shades of brown ink.

Building up the cover, I used chipboard with some of my cross stitch, Prima flowers and beautiful papers from Stamperia.

Left side with pockets including tissue paper prepared with resin.

Right side opens and holds pockets with tags.

Tiny feathers on the left page are from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

Left page opens and holds 2 library pockets with tag inserts.

Right page reveals pages that hold 4" X 6" photos and a journaling card in a library pocket.

The button tag is used as a closure.

Here's how this mini begins life:

Fold on the pre-cut scored lines and you have a tri-fold with pockets:

I chose to make mine as flips, so did not adhere the bottom pockets but rather used other means of closing the flips.

This flap utilizes a magnet. Since it's metal, I used a Tim Holtz word charm as one part of the magnet.

The 2nd magnet is under the bird cage paper.

and open:

Flip #2 is closed with a magnet:

Flip #3 is closed with handmade (home-made) punched circles, string and a charm.

For the closure, I used a combination of Tim Holtz Swivel Clasps with Fasteners from Prima Marketing and TH.

The front closure is permanent.

Open the booklet by turning to the back and lifting the Swivel Clasp off of the Hitch Fastener.
