more mini-book ideas from the Team at Mini Album Makers Challenge blog.
Here's how this mini begins life:
Fold on the pre-cut scored lines and you have a tri-fold with pockets:
I chose to make mine as flips, so did not adhere the bottom pockets but rather used other means of closing the flips.
This flap utilizes a magnet. Since it's metal, I used a Tim Holtz word charm as one part of the magnet.
The 2nd magnet is under the bird cage paper.
and open:
Flip #2 is closed with a magnet:
Flip #3 is closed with handmade (home-made) punched circles, string and a charm.
For the closure, I used a combination of Tim Holtz Swivel Clasps with Fasteners from Prima Marketing and TH.
The front closure is permanent.
Open the booklet by turning to the back and lifting the Swivel Clasp off of the Hitch Fastener.

Oh Nancy this is fabulous, I love those little created pockets where you can conceal all those little treasures and keepsakes. Your use of the swivel clasps is a magnificent idea, I would never have thought to put two together.
Thank you so much for sharing your mini masterpiece and for your very informative tutorial. Wishing you a creative weekend Tracey x
